Diving into the world of NDIS can feel a bit like learning a new language, but don’t worry – we’ve got your back! The NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits are here to ensure you get the best bang for your buck. Previously known as the NDIS Price Guide, these arrangements set maximum prices that registered providers can charge, helping you and your family make informed choices about your care and support.
The Support Catalogue
Think of the Support Catalogue as your trusty sidekick. It lists all the available supports along with their price limits, and includes details on claim types like travel or non-face-to-face support. By sticking to these guidelines, you ensure that your NDIS funds are used correctly and efficiently.
Updates and Addendums
We’re into the new financial year so that means that the new NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits for the 2024-25 period have come into play. Here are some highlights:
- Bereavement Addendum: This addendum outlines claims that can be made after an NDIS participant passes away.
- COVID Addendum: This addendum contains temporary measures introduced in direct response to the coronavirus pandemic and the regions and dates the measures are applicable.
- Assistive Technology, Home Modifications, and Consumables: This non-exhaustive code guide lists the most commonly used supports.
- Disability Support Worker Cost Model: This cost model has been updated to better reflect the cost structures of efficient providers in the sector.
Keeping It Fresh
The NDIA regularly reviews and makes changes to pricing arrangements to ensure their approach better meets the needs of participants, their families, carers and providers, and remains affordable and in place for future generations of Australians.
